For the past couple of years KFCUSA has been blessed with quite possibly one of the most professional Kid's Pastors in America:  Pastor Dan Lies of Grace Fellowship.  He came to meetings to observe and made himself available to us, but it was a year before we had an opening in the area of town that his church was in.  His ministry style quickly connected with both the children and parents at Cedar Ridge elementary.  With the institution of Krispy Kreme Friday once a month (as well as other incentives) the club began to grow. 

In the spring of 2005 we were called upon to assist another school in the community of Bixby.  When it came time for the club to begin Dan and the parent sponsor met and he accepted doing the ministry at Bixby North Elementary School.  The combination of Dan and the mom army was a potent combination that produced unbelievable numbers of children coming to the club as well as stirring up that community to the point that three more clubs have since launched in the other schools of that district. 

Dan is leaving Tulsa to become an Associate Pastor in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  No doubt, he will be an incredible Pastor. When asked what he would like to tell Dan, Bob Heath said, "Dan, you have made an indelible mark on this community and this ministry.  I consider it a true honor be able to call you my friend and to have had you as part of our team.  You have truly blessed and challenged me through these two years."

Dan's successor at Grace, Jeremey Conn will be taking his place in both of our clubs.  "I haven't laughed that hard at a minister in a long time", said Bob after observing Jeremey's ministry to the kids on Friday January 27, 2006.
