I've been asked what kind of person should be involved in Kids for Christ.   I have given many answers through the years, but I've decided that I agree with the Apostle Paul in Philippians 2:1-11 out of the New Living Translation:

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ?... Any comfort from his love?... Any fellowship together in the Spirit?   Are your hearts tender and sympathetic?  Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one heart and purpose. Don't be selfish; don't live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself.  Don't think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing.  Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had.  Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God.  He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form.  And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal's death on a cross.  Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I think that if a Parent, Student, Pastor, Volunteer minister, or Lead worshipper feel they are called to begin or assist a Kids for Christ USA style Bible Club they need to spend some serious time meditating on this passage in context just as it reads.  Ask yourself: Can I check my ego; my personal agenda at the door?    Do I intend to build this club on my amazing personality?

OR

Can I be more interested in others than myself?  Can I be more interested in reaching the un-churched children of my/child's school or my community and ultimately this nation than my own "vision"?

If you can say yes to these questions, then you are just the kind of person we're looking for in Kids for Christ USA.  You see, taking back what the enemy stole from us can never be a self-centered endeavor.  If it is, it will fail.  The task is just too great to carry alone.  It will take a truly humble army of God working together in unity, flowing in confidence, as carriers of the power of God in order to succeed.  If you still feel you need to be involved after reading and assessing your heart then contact us immediately and we'll walk you through what you need to know in order to begin.
