For the past couple of years KFCUSA has been blessed with quite possibly one of the most professional Kid's Pastors in America:  Pastor Dan Lies of Grace Fellowship.  He came to meetings to observe and made himself available to us, but it was a year before we had an opening in the area of town that his church was in.  His ministry style quickly connected with both the children and parents at Cedar Ridge elementary.  With the institution of Krispy Kreme Friday once a month (as well as other incentives) the club began to grow. 

Children in three schools learned that you can't blow up a balloon with just words, no matter how powerful the word(s) may be.  Guest speaker Jimmy Caldwell asked three children to hold a balloon in their hand and speak the word "Faith" over the ballon. Of course nothing happened.  He explained that it is impossible to please God without faith and that faith without works is dead.  Faith alone spoken over a balloon will not blow it up, but faith that putting it to your mouth and blowing will.  It was a great object lesson.

Five years ago Bob Heath sat at a lunch table with Brian Bryan and Jennifer Lake discussing the vision God had given him to take Kids for Christ USA to Tulsa, Oklahoma and the USA.  Brian has been a significant part of this ministry every since that day.  This year the Combat Team Ministries lead by Brian Bryan has wowed record numbers of children with the message of forgiving your neighbor. 

On Thursday December 1, 2005 The Link (our Junior High program ) was supposed to be cancelled due to a schedule conflict for the room we usually meet in.  We attempted to find another solution with the school,  but none could be found.  The school announced to the students that The Link was to be cancelled for that week.  You won't believe what happened...
