Junior High Students Teach Classmates |

On Thursday, February 24, 2005 three seventh grade girls taught at "The Link." (The junior high name of Kids for Christ.) As I watched Amanda, Rachel, and Hanna teach their peers about "Judgment" I was immensely humbled at the thought that our clubs contributed to these girl's relationship with Jesus in addition to the greater influence of their parents. The message was packed with scriptural relevance and the skit they wrote was 100% applicable to their culture: Their School. As I listened to them I could not help but realize that this message coming from them was most likely far more effective than I, or any other minister would have been.
Judgment—a disorder of which I personally have spent much time allowing God to heal me. As most adults know the healing process is a lifelong process. I have yet to meet anyone who has experienced a "once and for all" manifestation of healing with this particular disorder. Imagine how incredible it would be if those 150 kids listening yesterday let this message be the catalyst in living a judgment free life. Wow! Let's all allow the word of God to transform us into the image of God with regard to judgment. Our actions preach so much louder than our words. |
