This past Wednesday the Godspeed flight demonstration team performed and ministered at McAuliffe Elementary School. Dennis Michael and his team made the most of every inch of that gym with their remote control stunt plans. Roughly 100 children watched as they did their magic. Then Dennis presented the gospel utilizing the story of Orville and Wilbur Wright to the children. He explained that the word Godspeed means "Successful journey" and that giving your life to Jesus was the beginning of the ultimate success. When he finished about 12 children made decisions to serve Jesus with their lives.
Godspeed will be ministering for us this Friday at Jenks Southeast Elementary as we work with the parents of Trojans for Christ. Next Friday, December 17th, we are at Cedar Ridge Elementary. December 17th will be a big event because that is Orville & Wilbur Wright Day.
Also This Week:
Kirby Olsen, one of the students at the Union 6th & 7th Grade Center will be ministering to her peers on the subject of "Overcoming Peer Pressure". Kirby's mom Barb was the mom who sponsored Andersen Elementary Kids for Christ for about six years. Kirby has impressed other team members for years. Now I understand what they were talking about. If you are a student at that school, DON'T MISS THE LINK this week. Parents, I believe this will be a day that could potentially impact your kid's lives for the rest of their lives. FYI: Parents are always welcome at our meetings. Christmas Shopping Reminder of the week:
"Always preach the gospel, whenever possible use words"—St Francis
I don't think any explanation is needed do you? More news next week. |
