At Christmas time 2003 Grove Elementary Teachers Carrie and Jamie came to my office and visited with me regarding what it would take to plant a Kids for Christ Group at their school. Shortly after that meeting Carrie called me with a name: Dan Gallaugher. He was interested in being the Parent Sponsor at Grove Elementary School. It took some time and perseverance to complete the paperwork, but Dan got it done and the club was born.
On January 23rd Dan had a serious car accident. He spent several days in the hospital in critical condition and passed away on February 5, 2005 due to complications. Most of us wish to make a difference with our life, Dan did. He left a legacy for his children and the children at that school. Only time will tell how many lives will be reached because of his diligence and dedication. Rest assured, many more will be reached at that school. Scott Epperly will be taking over as the new Parent Sponsor. Pray for Dan's wife Katherine and their two children, they deserve our support in every possible way.
