The following is from one of our board members of KFCUSA. Jim Schmidt and Bob Heath pray together weekly. "Jim is one of my most trusted friends", says Bob. He has just completed the second year as the lead minister in one of the area schools on a weekly basis. He was asked him to give a summary/report for the year. The following is that "report":
Dear
Bob,
I just wanted to take a minute here
at the end of the school year to thank you for your tireless efforts at Kids for
Christ. I honestly don’t know how you run all your Bible clubs and maintain a
personal lifestyle and family income.
Anyway, the kids at Anderson
Elementary have been a great joy to me as I have had the wonderful privilege of
being their teacher each Wednesday morning. When one of the young girls asked
me a few weeks ago: “Mr. Jim, why can’t we
have this Bible club every morning?” my heart melted. It was a
bitter sweet question because on one hand I knew she was saying, ‘this is really touching my life’, but on
the other hand I realized that millions of children around America are not
getting what they could if the church would just wake up. Bob, you
must stay faithful! One day there will be Bible clubs like Kids for Christ in
every school in America…..we have the God-given and
legal right but the snoring among
most parents and church leaders is still way too
loud!!!!!!!!!!!
