How Are You Doing That Training in Iowa PDF Print E-mail

Well the "How Are You Doing That Training" in Mt Pleasant, IA was a smashing success.  The turn out was small, but the potential impact was huge. The people that came are the kind of people I would classify as "doers".  Not only that but over 66 percent of them bought my newly published book!

Join KFCUSA on Facebook PDF Print E-mail
ImageAdults once again our kids have lead the way and we are dragging behind.  I am refering to internet communities such as "Facebook".  I know mnay of you Moms and Dads have resisted the very thought for a variety of reasons.

I am constantly searching for better ways to get more people involved in this vision, so that we can reach more and more kids accross the USA.  Between the tools on Facebook itself and the fact that many cell phone carriers make "Facebook mobile" available as a part of their servies I have found it to be a VERY POWERFUL tool

"What Does Kids for Christ USA Mean to You"? PDF Print E-mail
ImageEvery two years we close the year with a little poll we call the “Year End Survey” (Original huh?)  Four years ago we asked 236 children in the Tulsa area a series of questions (See story titled, “Year End Student Survey 2003-04 on this website.) Two years ago the survey was done with by the groups we worked with in Sacramento, CA (See Story titled, “Update: Sacramento”.)  This year I tried something a tad different.  In the spirit of being a random sampling I sent out this question to everyone in our Kids for Christ USA group on Facebook.  The responses couldn’t have been more perfect if I had planed it AND I DIDN’T!

Four of the people that responded were:

1-College Theology Student Volunteer
1-Lead Minister/Teacher
1-KFCUSA Board Member
1-Jr. High Student

Dating Perspectives of a Christian Teen's Dad PDF Print E-mail
ImageRight off the bat, I am just going to tell you three things:

1. In this case the teenager is my SON. Have you ever noticed that articles like this are usually written from the perspective of the girl’s father?

2. If you buy into the “I Kissed Dating Goodbye” theory, I should just kiss you goodbye right now, because you won’t want to hear this.

3. If you are looking for some deep spiritual directive in this piece, good luck! I promise not to use multiple Scriptures to make my points, just Biblically based horse sense. I intend this to poignant, but slightly comedic. Parenting is hard enough with a sense of humor.

Lunch Money...Provision for Reaching a New Generation of Kids for Christ PDF Print E-mail

Dear Friends,

Thank you for being there for us in the past, making our work possible!

We know you appreciate our efforts to reach children in the public schools with the good news of Jesus Christ, encouraging young people in their faith, and training and equipping them with what they need to win others to Christ. That is why we’d like to invite you to consider showing your support in another way. We just launched our new program, LUNCH MONEY…Provision for Reaching a New Generation of Kids for Christ.  This program allows you to take an active role in our mission by providing regular, consistent support to our ministry. Your LUNCH MONEY will nourish each child we reach out to in the public schools, as well as each young believer whose faith is enriched because of being enabled to live consistently in Christ.
