You’ve seen them: the MasterCard commercials that tells us how much things cost and then tell us that being able to do what you want to and use their card to do it is priceless. Well today I have a concept that has priceless eternal value, but also an earthly price. One so nominal, that you could argue that I can’t even be serious about the figure. In fact as I write this I am sitting in a local coffee shop looking at the menu and thinking, “Wow, for less than most of us pay for a grande’ sized cup of chocolate and black sludge (Mocha Latte) you can be a monthly partner with Kids for Christ USA. You can help us reach children that might not ever enter the doors of a church with the message of Jesus. You can help us educate the body of Christ as to what their rights really are in the schools of this great nation. This is a “touch point” that everyone can not only afford, but as one Tulsa Pastor said, “We won’t even miss it”. We can certainly get more mileage out of three dollars a month that your car can from one three dollar gallon of gas. |

This school year we were blessed to have had a hand in four clubs in Sacramento, CA. One of those was run by Peter & Liliya Walsh. KFCUSA Northeast Summer Tour "06" |
|
"This trip could radically affect KFCUSA for years to come."
That was my statement before, during and after the 3000 mile road trip. Originally I planned for a trip that covered the state of Michigan, but by early May God let me in on a secret: I was supposed to go to Missouri, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey the first two weeks of June, not Michigan. Maybe Later.
Since the inception of this ministry I have never taken a ministry trip with so many unceratin variables. Leaving my family for two weeks, a stop on the trip cancelled the week I was to leave, ministry cashflow, and I was just 11 days out after having triple hernia surgery. I almost cancelled the trip the day before I left. I prayed and knew that the potential impact far outweighed the risk. I knew I simply must go and trust God. Easily said, walking it out was the most incredible experience I have had in ministry. The trip reminded me of the theme of a missions conference Oral Roberts University had when I was a student there: "It must be a struggle". |
