Children in three schools learned that you can't blow up a balloon with just words, no matter how powerful the word(s) may be.  Guest speaker Jimmy Caldwell asked three children to hold a balloon in their hand and speak the word "Faith" over the ballon. Of course nothing happened.  He explained that it is impossible to please God without faith and that faith without works is dead.  Faith alone spoken over a balloon will not blow it up, but faith that putting it to your mouth and blowing will.  It was a great object lesson.

Jimmy draws from his experiences as a teacher, martial arts coach, small business owner and radio talk show host to motivate and empower children.  He involevd the children by engaging them in the balloon illustration and teaching them to juggle scarves.  His presentation is funny and his message is clear: Feed your faith in God with the word of God and you'll starve your doubts right out.  A simple concept that many of us don't act on often enough.
