As I stood on the sidewalk of a local elementary school the sight was almost surreal.   The school sits back several hundred feet off the main road therefore the entrance to the school has a long driveway.   I stood on the sidewalk with the Parent Sponsor as she collected permission slips from parents dropping off their children.   Car after car turned in to drop their child with a signed permission slip.   Child after child and smiling and parent after smiling parent bringing their child to what turned out to be the biggest opening day Kids for Christ USA has ever been involved in.   After the permission slips had been counted the final number of children that attended that morning was 94.   I personally counted 34 parents in attendance that day too.   The kids had a blast as a local children's Pastor taught the children about responsibility. The parent group involved are driven, organized and have done an excellent job in every facet of the club.

This is just the beginning of what I am convinced will be a strong and thriving club for years to come.
